This class allows you to gradually learn the language through specific communication objectives and interactive activities. We work on 4 skills: Listening, Reading comprehension, Writing and Speaking.
Learn French in Pretoria! The Alliance Française de Pretoria is a French Learning Institute and also a Cultural Event Centre located in Pretoria.
Established in 1951, the Alliance Française Pretoria is a non-profit organization, welcoming you in a beautiful Victorian House (historical monument). It’s located at the hub of diplomatic embassies and Loftus stadium, with secure parking and friendly staff.
It’s an ideal place to learn French, at your own pace according to your personal objectives. Our teachers are trained to use all communicative methods and will pass on their love of the language to you in a professional and relaxed atmosphere.
Our teachers are qualified teachers, either holders of Masters in teaching French as a Foreign Language or trained through various programmes implemented through the Embassy of France in South Africa and training centres in France.
Over and above the French classes that we offer, we also provide classes in English, Afrikaans, and Zulu.
A general English programme offered at 6 levels of proficiency: Beginners to Advanced. It develops writing, speaking, reading and listening in English to enable non-English speaking students to work or study in English-speaking countries and or English work environment.
Apart from the new vocabulary that you have to learn, there is also the grammar to master. Often this grammar is unfamiliar, and very different from the grammar you use in your own language.
In this course I focus on establishing a neutral American sounding voice similar to New York American speech. I have trained many actors seeking to broaden their Accent Skills so as to work abroad.
The courses consist of reading, listening, writing and grammar and pronunciation skills. Delivered by a certified LETA trainer, the General English Intensive course is created to meet the needs of the group in a practical and stimulating manner.
This part-time course takes place over six Saturday mornings from 08h00 till 12h30, at a total of 24 hours, at our premises in Braamfontein. It is aimed at South Africans who speak English as their second or third language and covers both general and business English.
