Enter And Work in Confined Spaces

Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will be able to:

• Identify and understand the relevant workplace health and safety legislation, standards and codes of practice.
• Identify the hazards associated with tasks performed in confined spaces and related hazard controls.
• Plan and prepare for confined space work activities.
• Identify required emergency response procedure and the role of the stand by person.
• Select, wear and care for personal protective equipment applicable to all tasks and environment identified
• Identify equipment types, characteristics, technical capabilities and limitations.
• Perform safe entry into a confined space.
• Perform safe exit from a confined space.
• Clean work area and check, maintain and store tools and equipment.

Outcomes:

• This course is nationally recognised (accredited).
• Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment and Competency Card upon successful completion of the unit of competency.
