Aim

Infection control and the environment
Cleaning and disinfection best practices for patient care and food preparation areas
Assessment of cleanliness and quality control
Management of cleaning supplies, cleaners’ rooms, laundry and bedding
Occupational health and safety issues related to environmental services
Please Note: A minimum of 75% attendance will be required for you to complete the programme and receive your certificate.

Supervisors, housekeeping staff, care staff including therapy aides, nursing aides, patient care assistants, and healthcare assistants

CTI together with its partners add value to trainees with hands-on blended training programmes, which are contextualised to suit the community care sector.
In collaboration with its partners, CTI provides courses which cover clinical and non-clinical areas.
Vision
Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital (KWSH) is one of the Agency for Integrated Care’s (AIC) appointed Learning Institutes (LIs) in developing, delivering and administering training courses for the community care sector.
KWSH is also a member of the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) Learning Enterprise Alliance that is committed to strategic adoption of learning and innovation for work and at work for continuous performance improvement.
We aim to be the provider of choice for learning and training in the sector through the development and delivery of quality and affordable training.
We offer a series of training classes for domestic helpers who are inexperienced in cleaning, washing and household maintenance.
After undergoing Level 1 – Foundation English, participants are encouraged to advance to Level 2. This level is designed to focus on helping learners to adopt proper conversation at work. Learners will have opportunities to practice in each unit, so that they become more confident and skillful.
We understand the requirements of local Domestic Employers. Through our years of experience, we have tailored a full day of training with regards to General Housekeeping.
Classes are conducted to give Hands-on training in housework using modern equipment such as usage of vacuum cleaner, washing machine, and related knowledge in maintaining household furniture and appliances etc.
