Ergonomics & Back Care course is offered by Camosun Coastal Centre. The Camosun Coastal Centre (CCC) brokers training to enhance workforce development in the shipbuilding industry.
CCC creates partnerships with private and public training service providers and brokers their training products to industry. CCC is building up a ‘virtual’ course curriculum that consists of a full spectrum of coursing from entry level and awareness training right through to the delivery of specialty training. Courses are delivered as per industry demand.
The training is delivered at the CCC facility in Esquimalt or can be delivered at other locations in B.C. where there is sufficient demand (e.g. North Vancouver).
IMTARC developed curriculum in a number of key areas that have been identified as high priority by industry. These courses are all available and will be scheduled based on demand.

This course covers what Asbestos is, Where it is used, the different types, Hazards associated with it, Roles and responsibilities, and Personal Protective Equipment required as well as the different types of work that can be conducted with asbestos present.
This is an all day course that provides you with the training to successfully complete the test for certification in Energy Safety Canada ( formerly OSSA) Fall Protection. Upon completion of the test, you will receive a permanent certificate the same day. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
