Sabah Skills & Technology Centre was first instituted in 1999 as Sabah’s bona fide skills development centre in its efforts to meet the state’s manpower needs.
Incorporated on 27th September 2000 under the Registrar of Society, as a not-for-profit organization in which the government – State and Federal – provides the funding and infrastructure whereas the industry provides the support and leadership.

Confined space entry operations involve very hazardous conditions. Fatalities are mainly due to a lack of knowledge of hazards, procedures, and controls by those involved in confined space work.
Authorized Gas Tester Non-Confined Space (PCSB) training is a specialized program essential for individuals in industries like oil and gas, focusing on safe monitoring and testing of gases in non-confined space environments.
This course is designed for personnel exposed to working at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury. This includes the work of scaffolders, plant operators, construction workers and maintenance personnel.
The All Hazards Disaster Response (AHDR) course teaches students how to respond to the many types of disaster scenarios they may encounter, including natural disasters and infrastructure failings, fires and radiological events, pandemics, active shooter incidents, and other mass casualty events.
OH&S legislation in Malaysia provides the fundamental guidelines on the proper control of occupational hazards and risk; and it has defined the competency needs to ensure safety and health at work.
