This unit of competency is within the TLI Transport and Logistics Training Package.This course provides you with the tools to identify, assess, handle and store dangerous goods and hazardous substances in the workplace safely and in accordance with legislative requirements.

HAZMAT training outcomes include the ability to select, don, test and safely operate appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment for an incident involving dangerous goods and hazardous substances.
This unit covers the competency required to safely combat incidents involving hazardous materials. ‘Hazardous Materials’ is a generic term used to refer to an incident involving dangerous goods and hazardous substances.
The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the competency requirements associated with the identification, avoidance, review, and evaluation of workplace risks and hazards, maintenance of personal safety and the reporting to supervisors and team members.
