Our ESL training program focuses on the personal language development of the students, and they are molded to fit each individual’s needs. Our classes aim to improve the learners’ four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) as well as their communication in ‘real life’ situations. Learning English can be tasking but the journey can be quite rewarding and we are here to help you through it.
A Perfected ESL Program
The teachers at A&D have been focused on perfecting the ESL program that is currently offered. The instructors have been collaborating in developing a brand-new ESL curriculum. The curriculum is meant as a form of support for teachers.
It contains grammar descriptions, themed lessons, syntax lessons, pronunciation practice, countless comprehension, writing, and listening activities. The ESL curriculum contains lessons and exercises depending on the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) levels with a variety of content and materials that will enrich the learners’ vocabulary repertoire, grammar and sentence structure knowledge, and how to respond or communicate in day-to-day situations.
Initially, an assessment of a student’s current level of English is completed to help determine their current skill level. We will review their current skills with English vocabulary, listening comprehension, reading and writing, and verbal fluency.
Based on their target goals, we develop an individualized plan to achieve a successful outcome. Learning English is something that can be very challenging and we strive to make it easier!
