What is event management?

  • Event Management includes a huge variety of roles, functions and tasks. Our events management courses will show how the scale of the tasks as well as the staff, external partners and resources needed, depends predominantly on the size of the event being held. For example, the logistics needed to run an open mic night at a local pub will differ greatly to that for a gig at a live concert venue. Other key areas which fall under the umbrella term of ‘event management’ include financial management (budgeting), health and safety, sustainability and marketing (including digital marketing and public relations).
