Course Content:
A sound knowledge of the legal obligations covering the provision and use of excavation supports.
The ability to identify excavation supporting components and know the reasons for their use.
Knowledge of standard “battering back”/“Stepping” and where and when the requirements for calculations and design are triggered.
An understanding of why excavations fail, including typical warning signs and typical structural defects.
The techniques of inspection and the completion and recording of excavation inspection reports.

Category 2: Implement Safe (Digging) Excavating Practices covers the minimum training and assessment required for those working to safely excavate and maintain holes and trenches using both hand tools and hand-held power tools.
This course provide the skills and knowledge necessary for those required to supervise and manage safety of excavations.
Those who are required to operate compact cranes (360° pick & carry). Course delegates may be new to the role or have limited experience or be experienced compact cranes (360° pick & carry) operators who require a formal qualification.
We offer five categories of EUSR courses in utility excavation training, that was developed in collaboration with employers and stakeholders. They come from across the energy and utility sector, with years of knowledge in each category.
Excavation and Reinstatement Operations (Construction) course is offered by Bespoke Health and Safety. Bespoke Health and Safety was established in 2010 by the founder Gary Smith as a better alternative for business wanting health and safety consultancy and training.
