Excavation & Trenching – Competent Person Training

This training course is designed to prepare employees to evaluate hazards related to trenches and excavations, evaluate soil mechanics, and select the appropriate protective system.

Excavation/Trenching/Shoring Competent training is offered by Business Health Partners.  Business Health Partners offers a wide variety of instructor-led industrial safety classes from our facility or at your industrial site. We also have convenient training courses that can be completed onsite.

This course focuses on the OSHA Excavation standard and on the safety and health aspects of excavation and trenching. Participants are introduced to practical soil mechanics and its relationship to the stability of shored and unshored slopes and walls of excavations.
