The course covers a range of topics, including equipment operation, hazard identification, risk management, and compliance with industry standards.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with excavator operations, enabling them to become competent and responsible excavator operators.
Course Objectives Include:
Develop Competent Operators: Train participants to become competent and skilled excavator operators, capable of performing a wide range of tasks in a civil construction environment.
Ensure Safety Awareness: Foster a strong safety culture among participants, enabling them to identify potential hazards and apply appropriate safety measures while operating the excavator.
Comply with Regulations: Familiarise participants with relevant industry regulations, codes of practice, and standards related to excavator operations, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
Enhance Operational Efficiency: Teach participants how to use excavators efficiently, minimising downtime and maximising productivity in civil construction projects.
Promote Environmental Responsibility: Gain an understanding of environmental considerations, encouraging participants to minimise the environmental impact of excavator operations.
Course Delivery
Face to face training and assessment is conducted at one of Link Resources purpose built training facilities.
Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted on-site at the premises of industry clients providing there a suitable infrastructure and industry training facilities.
Outcomes
Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment for RIIMPO320F – Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations, recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
This certification is nationally recognised. The Statement is issued by Link Resources Training Pty Ltd (RTO 45483).
Entry Requirements
All candidates must be literate in the English language (no interpreters allowed).
At enquiry, students can enter the program by expressing an interest and being sent an information pack that contains booking confirmation, course information (Course Brochure), Self-Paced Learning Resources and LLN assessment.
This interest process enables the RTO and client to work together to ensure the course is suitable for them and to identify any additional support needs & make adequate provisions.
No pre-requisites exist for this Unit of Competency.
