Entry Requirements
It is preferable that students have attained basic ICDL.
What Will I Study?
Modules include:
Apply advanced formatting options such as conditional formatting and customised number formatting and handle worksheets
Use functions such as those associated with logical, statistical, financial and mathematical operations
Create charts and apply advanced chart formatting
Work with tables and lists to analyse, filter and sort data. Create and use scenarios
Validate and audit spreadsheet data
Enhance productivity by working with named cell ranges and macros
Use linking, embedding and importing features to integrate data
Compare and merge spreadsheets
Apply spreadsheet security features
How Will I Be Assessed?
Assessment will be through an end of course exam.
Further Study
Students may wish to progress to other ICDL advanced modules.

Southern Regional College is one of the largest education providers in Northern Ireland with approximately 10,000 students enrolled annually and over 900 members of staff.
Straddled between the two council areas of Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon and Newry, Mourne & Down in the southern part of NI, the College operates from 5 campuses in Armagh, Banbridge, Lurgan, Newry and Portadown, with community provision also offered across the region.
The courses at Southern Regional College cover almost all subject areas and include full-time and part-time academic and vocational qualifications at various levels for pre-16, post-16 and 19+ (adult) options
. Programmes range from recreational hobby courses through to degree and master’s level qualifications, in addition to Apprenticeships at Further and Higher Level.
The ICDL Level 2 course enables learners to enhance their competence in using Word Processing software, Excel spreadsheet, PowerPoint Presentations. This Online course is interactive and packed with exercises, enabling learners to apply what they have learnt in the workplace and prepares them well
Our ICDL training uses self-study. Thus, you have the flexibility to train at a time and pace that fits your schedule. Additionally, ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) certifications from Pitman Training have both national and international recognition.
ICDL is the International Certification of Digital Literacy, a vocational qualification that teaches young people how to use IT software applications confidently and effectively.
