Gain fundamental knowledge required by fire fighters today. Explore the many duties and responsibilities of a fire fighter and the fire service, and be equipped to continue a centuries-old tradition of preserving lives and property threatened by fire.
Examine safe practices and techniques for operating Fire Department apparatus, tools and equipment. Learn how to communicate effectively, in various emergency and non-emergency situations, using fire service terminology, technology and Standard Operating Guidelines {SOGs). Understand the factors that affect suppression activities .
