Extinguisher Training

Gain the knowledge and skills to effectively use a fire extinguisher, through our traditional Live Fire Extinguisher Training. This course is designed for anyone, from those that have never been trained to use a fire extinguisher, to those that just need a refresher.

At the successful completion of the course the trainee will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the fire classes and fire suppression techniques, select and implement a strategy to deal with fire. People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of evacuation requirements for a particular workplace or site, and explain the duties of a Fire and Emergency Warden.

Fire safety training is a legal requirement of the Fire and Emergency NZ Regulations and must be part of an Emergency Response Plan under the Health & Safety at Work Act.
