This First aid at Work course includes the 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to an extensive range of specific injuries and illnesses. This course complies with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) regulations 1981 (Appendix 5 Content of a First Aid at Work (FAW) course).

Unit 2: Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace
Course Contents
A range of subjects are covered including:
Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
Resuscitation and AED awareness
Assessment of the situation
Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

Shock (including Anaphylaxis)

Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor each day, along with a written assessment for unit 2. A three-year Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Level 6 in Scotland) will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment.
Learners who achieve this qualification may progress on to other related qualifications within first aid. FAA also offer qualifications in health & safety, food safety and safeguarding should learners wish to diversify.
