Working at heights is a daily practice in many industries, it is often left up to the employee to assess the situation and determine what is needed. This course will give the employees the tools needed to properly identify where proper fall protection is needed, both from a legislative standpoint and an industry best practice.
CAN Safety Training and Consulting will take a simple and interactive approach to fall protection. Identify what is working at heights, identifying and understanding the equipment needed, proper fit, and finally proper inspection and maintenance.
CAN Safety Training and Consulting
began in 2013 by Chris Nisbett. Chris started his career in 1998, operating and repairing highway transport equipment. Always having a passion for repair, he worked towards his journeyperson in automotive repair alongside his journeyperson in Truck and Transport.
A skilled tradesperson, there is not a tool or piece of equipment Chris would not use. It was in both of these repair industries that he began teaching people how to operate equipment. The fit was natural, having the ability to repair, maintain and operate most pieces of powered mobile equipment.
Course length is usually 4 to 12 hours depending on the course.
Each year a significant number of workers are injured or killed from a fall on the jobsite. Regardless of one’s work frequency and duration, all workers performing duties at height need to understand the proper application and use of fall protection.
