The 8 hour Fall Protection Competent Person training program instructs employees on OSHA 29 CFR 1926.500 and other applicable OSHA standards.
Course Objectives:
This course is designed for persons that will have responsibility for fall hazard identification, designating corrective measures, fall hazard surveys, selection and purchase of fall protection equipment. The program details how inspections of equipment is conducted and documented, how to conduct employee training and familiarization with fall protection equipment.
Demonstration of several different types of equipment and applications is covered in this training program. Selection and installation of anchor points is included in this program.
During this course, the attendees will perform hands-on tasks. These tasks may include climbing stairs, ladders, and lifting of equipment weighing up to fifty pounds.
