This course satisfies requirements for the classroom portion of operator safety training. Quiz questions along the way prepare you for the final written exam. Upon completion, gain access to and print off your test, certificate, and a checklist which can be used by your employer to observe you in the field applying what you learned in the classroom.
The Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requires workers to use a fall protection system in BC where they could fall at least 3 m (10 ft.) or where a fall from a lesser height may result in serious injury. In addition, workers must be trained thoroughly in the safe use and limitations of personal fall protection equipment.
Students will learn all the methods involved with Engineered Fall Protection Systems, Fall Restraint Systems, Fall Arrest Systems, Controls Zones and Safety Monitor Systems, Harness Fitting, Inspection of Equipment, Anchor Criteria and Fall Protection Work Plans.
