Sometimes caring for an aging family member yourself is the most viable option available. We’ve developed a resource to let us provide you with all the tools and knowledge you’ll need to give them the compassionate, quality care they deserve, from developing a daily routine to navigating the twilight years.

Our experienced team of nurses and caregivers have worked together to create a framework that gives you all the information you’ll need to give emotional and physical support to the beloved elderly person in your life.

The Nuts & Bolts:

  • One of our registered nurses will visit your home for an hour-long assessment of your parent’s needs and the home in which they live (one hour at your home)
  • Next, we help you to create a care plan for your loved one.
  • Then, we’ll teach you to offer physical support to your loved one - this includes assistance with mobility, lifting, pressure management to prevent bedsores, turning, assistance with bathroom and bathing, and more according to your loved one’s needs (two hours at your home)
  • You’ll do a practical two-hour first-aid basics to learn how to manage accidents and emergencies at your home.
  • Lastly, we focus on caring for you, the caregiver, with a two-hour session on managing emotional stress and the challenges of supporting an aging family member or loved one in need of care assistance. This will be virtual or at a venue of your choice.
  • The course is a total of 7 hours, which can be split within a two-week period. We are flexible in the sense of accommodating bookings based on your availability and the availability of our registered nurse.
