One Year Fashion Design Course

With a vision to help you apply the elements and principles of design, our One Year Foundation Program provides you with an opportunity to get hands-on experience in line and design through various projects.

Our engaging modules/course-ware like Fashion Illustration, study of Textiles & Art, Techniques for Fabric enhancement, basics of pattern drafting and garment construction will enable you to venture into kids and women’s fashion.

Upon the successful completion of the first year course, students will have a complete understanding of Kids wear and introduction of Womenswear.

Fashion Foundation

Understand the basics of design and the fundamentals of fashion and design theories. This subject will empower you to appreciate fashion design by exploring and applying the various elements and principles of design including interaction and their attributes.

The study of different elements and principles of design along with fashion forecasting will be an integral part of this course to help you build a strong foundation.

Textile Fundamentals

Learn the intricacies of different fibres, yarns, fabrics and the processes and methods involved in the construction of textiles. This subject provides a comprehensive overview of all major textile processing steps and instils a solid, working knowledge of terminology..

Elementary Tailoring Techniques

An introductory subject, this subject includes the techniques and basic construction details for women and kids clothing of different age groups right from an infant to teenager. The study of pattern making and garment construction techniques for kids and women clothing will form the basis of this course.

Fashion Figure Drawing

This subject will lay the foundation for every fashion designer’s work as it helps a designer to come up with original ideas. This subject will introduce you to the basics of kids and female illustrations and train you to use different drawing tools and mediums of colour. This course will help you develop an understanding of figure proportions of kids and women.

Indian Art and Appreciation

This subject aims to inculcate awareness and appreciation of art, culture and clothing of different states of India.

Surface Ornamentation

Understand the different techniques used to enhance fabric with this subject. This course will help you learn the different types of machine and hand embroideries.
