NYSD’s Fashion Technical Design is an intensive training program encompassing fashion design, apparel construction, and production techniques. Graduates acquire the ability to evaluate the design idea and create technical design drawings and production plans to ensure the end product adheres to exacting quality standards.

With Austin’s already booming fashion industry projected to grow, now is a great time to pursue your passion for clothing design. Learn the ins and outs of commercial draping, pattern making, manufacturing, and more at Austin Community College.
Coursework includes production of digital idea boards (mood boards) and researching fashion publications, pattern designs, materials exploration, boutique fashion studios and trends.
In this pursuit, they thoroughly understand the fashion design industry, historically and present day, and the technical skills necessary to design, develop, and merchandise womenswear or menswear lines for the ready-to-wear market.
This course covers flat patternmaking. Students develop a bodice, sleeve, collar, and skirt. Construction of muslin samples and conceptual design project are emphasized.
Moore’s Fashion Design graduates are expressing their creativity on and off the runway, using all the practical, creative and business skills they learn during their time here.
