You will be working with Caroline Gration (Director), Jess Grech and Sarah Garfield on industry projects, sustainability awareness, upcycling, experimental design, advanced sewing and pattern cutting techniques.
Lessons are taught in our new studio in Chelsea. As well as 1:2:1 online tutorials with Caroline. Students will be expected to do at least 1.5 hours of independent work outside of their class.

The demise of the high street haberdashery shop - traditionally the place where a sewer could spend an enjoyable hour carefully choosing the bits and pieces for a planned project - drove her to create a modern version of the very same.
This workshop is suitable for those who have used a sewing machine before, can confidently thread the machine and bobbin and have sewn several projects before. If you need a beginners class or a refresher then have a look at beginners classes available.
Dressmaking classes are offered by Patchwork Garden for all skill level. Introduction to commercial patterns and how best to use (or alter) them.
Interested in making your own garments and want to know the basics? In this course, learn the techniques of pattern cutting and how to draft a simple item of clothing from your own measurements.
Is it time to sort out your craft bag so you can find the right size needles and keep them all together – then you may like to learn how to make your own Knitting Needle Wrap? A fabulous range of fabrics will be provided cut out and ready for you to sew.
These practical, hands-on, fun-packed sessions will teach you how to develop your own unique dress sense, become responsible consumers and how to design and make clothes and accessories whilst being mindful of the environment.
