Course Details

This course is designed to teach students about propane regulations, cylinder types, safe handling, inspecting for hazards, and safety risks. It also covers how to safely fill, connect/disconnect, and handle propane cylinders during transfer, storage, and transport. Additionally, students will learn about emergency preparedness and incident response.

In addition to filling propane cylinders, a section on the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) is covered to satisfy Transport Canada regulations. A second certificate specific to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods is issued to successful students. This is so they can handle and offer for transport propane cylinders greater than 46L or 40lb.

This course can be provided as a stand-alone course or combined with the Filling Propane Automotive Tanks program.
