This curriculum teaches accounting frameworks, concepts, and principles. Students can utilize accounting software for small enterprises (QuickBooks, SAGE 50) to multinational corporations.
Canadian companies of all sizes – including publicly-traded corporations and private businesses – need accounting and payroll personnel to help them manage day-to-day financial matters.
Well trained and detail-oriented professionals are in great demand, with new opportunities becoming available every day. The objective of the Financial Accounting and Payroll course is to train students in the practices of financial accounting and payroll in Canada.
This program focuses on three key elements: the theoretical principles of accounting and payroll, the practical hands-on skills required to do the job, and the communication skills needed to work within an office environment.
Each successful student will have the necessary skills to enter into the workforce and maintain a complete set of books, both manually and with computerized systems.
