Financial risk management is the practice of economic value in a firm by using financial instruments to manage exposure to various risks involved with in financial management.

It is the responsibility of the financial manager to analyse those risks, identify key areas of potential risks threatening the assets of the organisation, earning capacity or overall success or loss due to the risk of the business.
