Current legislation, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, applies to all workplaces regardless of the number of employees and requires employers to provide adequate training in fire awareness for all members of their staff.
The aims of the fire awareness course is to make employees more aware of how fires start, spread and are controlled.
To introduce delegates to the main risks from fire, the fire triangle, types of fire and methods of fire fighting. The course will also cover fire risk assessments which all employers must carry out under current legislation.
This course is designed for employees who have taken on the role of fire warden or fire marshal.
This course is designed for all employees as an introduction to basic fire safety awareness and is an excellent ingredient in the induction programme of new employees. The qualification also provides a foundation to those employees who want to develop their fire safety awareness.
