This Fire Awareness course is suitable for all levels of personal at any type of workplace and will help to ensure that they can safely react to an outbreak of a fire – saving property and maybe even lives.

Candidates should not have any current medical conditions that may prevent them from being able to handle and operate a portable fire extinguisher.

People in charge of fire risk assessments and fire evacuation procedures require Fire Warden training. 

Due to the nature of the training course and the emphasis placed on communication, there is only a provision for the assessments to be undertaken in English. Therefore, candidates for this type of training must be able to understand and speak the English language.

This Fire Awareness course teaches basic fire awareness so candidates can safely react to the outbreak of a fire. The course includes practical hands-on training of how to use a live fire extinguisher, in a safe and controlled environment.

 

This course also covers:

  • Fire classification
  • The causes of fire – and how they spread
  • Fire regulations
  • Fire drills
  • Evacuation

 

After completing this course, delegates should be able to:

  • Identify the correct extinguisher for the type of fire
  • Check and use fire extinguishers
  • Identify the colour coding of extinguishers
