Course Overview
Our Fire Equipment Training course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely conduct routine six-monthly (level 1) and annual (level 2) inspections, servicing and maintenance, and testing/tagging of fire extinguishers, fire blankets and fire hose reels in accordance with relevant Australian standards.
Fire Equipment Training provides a blend of theoretical instruction with practical training in relation to the testing of firefighting equipment and is suitable for everyone.
Course Units
CPPFES2010 – Inspect and test fire hose reels
CPPFES2020 – Conduct routine inspection and testing of fire extinguishers and fire blankets
Entry Requirements
A moderate English language, literacy and numeracy skill is required.
Participants must be over eighteen (18) years of age of age.
Participants must wear the following PPE to commence the training:
long sleeved shirt (preferably high vis)
long pants
closed in shoes required

Basic Fire / Fire Extinguisher course is offered by Safety Training Professionals.
These common training units are required to apply for Fire Safety Assessment Qualified Accreditation. These units fill the training gap if the service technician has already completed the service units.
This session covers the duties and responsibilities of the Chief Warden (CW) and Deputy Chief Warden (DCW). On completion of this session, the CW and DCW will understand how to coordinate operations of the ECO and how to coordinate actions to safeguard endangered persons.
