Overview & Objectives

The  Fire Extinguisher Awareness for All Industries online training from Exceed Safety is designed to act as an integral part of your fire protection knowledge.

In this introductory-level safety course, participants will learn about the basics of fire extinguisher safety, the six steps of inspection, and the five fire classifications regarding the type of fuel involved in a fire. Additionally, participants will learn how to inspect and document worksite portable fire extinguishers according to OSHA regulations.

Exceed Safety’s  Fire Extinguisher Awareness for All Industries online training is designed specifically to help minimize the risk of injuries and damage due to workplace fires and/or explosions.

In order to train individuals how to put out fires, participants will learn the four elements that must be present at the same time in order for a workplace fire to exist.

Participants can also expect to learn the classification of fires, how to use a portable extinguisher, and how to conduct maintenance and inspections. Specific course topics include the following:

  • Portable fire extinguishers (PFE)
  • PFE inspections and protocols
