Fire Extinguisher Awareness Course
is aimed at providing knowledge of the use and selection of fire extinguishers in the event of an emergency. This course is focused on a comprehensive understanding of the use and selection of fire extinguishers in the workplace.
At the end of the course, upon successful completion of the final test, trainees will receive a Fire Extinguisher Awareness Certificate, essential for many worksites.
Learning Objectives & Specific Outcomes:
Fire Extinguisher Awareness is an Entry Training course. Trainees develop an understanding of how fire extinguishers work, how to operate them safely and how to use other fire suppression devices.

This 1/2 - day Fire Extinguisher Awareness Course is offered in-class. Participants learn about Federal and Provincial Fire Extinguisher Regulations, how to properly identify elements and classifications of fire, how to use fire extinguishers and other fire suppressants effectively, and how to follow emergency procedures in the event of a fire.
The course also provides education on fire prevention, including identifying extinguisher locations and maintaining up-to-date records and inspections of all fire prevention equipment.
