Course Outline
To prevent injury and reduce potential damage to a workplace, building or structure an employer should ensure that all employees are trained in the safe use of fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets. They should also be aware of the effects of chemical spills, areas where they may occur and how to contain them using a chemical spill kit.
This training course includes a theory and practical component to ensure that your employees can safely handle workplace emergencies.
To ensure maximum benefit, this training course should be conducted with Fire Warden and Evacuation Training. If required, a Fire Safety trainer can visit your workplace to determine your fire safety equipment and training needs.

Participants will gain hands-on experience fighting a real fire with fire fighting equipment and will gain knowledge of chemical spill kits and how to use them.
Course Prerequisites
There are no restrictions on entry to this course however students are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instruction(s).
Unit of Competency
Participants who successfully complete all components of the course will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the PUAFER008 Confine small emergencies in a facility unit of competency.
Course Assessment
Practical assessment with group interaction. Participants must demonstrate competency during a series of practical skills evaluation and verbal assessments. Participants will also complete a theory assessment consisting of multiple choice and short answer questions.
Course Delivery & Duration
Classes run over a single day. All students are required to be present 15 minutes before course commencement time. Late arrivals may be refused from the course as a failure to attend. Training occurs at Eagle Training Services training facilities located in Alice Springs.
Participants undertake the course in comfortable, air-conditioned classrooms with the latest IT and audiovisual capabilities. Students are supported through the provision of high quality learning materials and resources.

We are able to offer on site training for your organisation or public courses within our training facility. All safety courses come with hands on practical application and training.
Having the correct fire equipment is important, but training is essential to make sure you use your equipment in a safe manner. In the event of a fire emergency, it is critical for trained personnel to correctly operate the fire equipment to prevent injuries or even a fatality.
Firefox Training offers this nationally recognised Australian qualification to individuals who are working towards becoming, or have been appointed as, a Fire Safety Advisor. A Fire Safety Advisor is required in all high occupancy buildings listed in the Queensland Building Fire Safety Regulation
Learn How To Perform Fire Warden Duties. The purpose of ERGT Australia’s Fire Warden (FWAR) training course is to develop the skills and knowledge required to implement specific emergency procedures in the workplace.
Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment. This course is suitable for the general public, organisations and corporate clients and will provide participants with the knowledge to confidently use a fire extinguisher in an emergency situation
All participants must be able to communicate effectively in English and must be able to complete all required documentation including simulated workplace reports etc
