FETS was established in 1998 by firefighters Dave McPake and Trevor Moss to provide emergency response and safety management training to Wellington businesses.
Our training is responsive, flexible and committed to delivering quality workplace safety, safety management, compliance, emergency preparedness and emergency response training for New Zealand businesses.
The team at GoSafety Ltd deliver a series of health and safety training courses around the country, throughout the year. We currently offer two valuable course: Health and Safety System and Training for Small Businesses and Emergency Plan and Warden Training.
In the event of a building evacuation as a result of a fire, the role of Fire Warden is crucial to the safety of all building occupants. During an evacuation, the Building or Chief Warden represents the New Zealand Fire Service until their arrival and therefore has authority over occupants.
The course is designed to give your staff an understanding of the risks associated with workplace fires, while giving them the ability to assess whether to evacuate or fight the fire. All participants use at least one fire extinguisher on a fire provided by our specifically designed safety trailer.
You may have fire fighting equipment installed at work but it’s a well known fact that most people have never used an extinguisher. When a small fire breaks out, time is critical.
The role and duties of fire wardens, preventing fires, the triangle of fire, how fire extinguishers work, and emergency drills.
