As an industrial worker, you should understand the causes of fires and fire prevention techniques. You also are responsible for knowing how to extinguish small fires, and how to react if you encounter a large fire. This knowledge will help you take appropriate action if you are first on the scene of an industrial fire.

Fire Extinguisher Operations training includes fire theory, types of extinguishers and agents, principles of fire extinguisher use, review of first aid for burns and smoke inhalation injuries, and practical exercise using controlled fire.
ABCS Fire Watch is a course and is based off of Alberta OH&S legislation. In this course we will teach the basics of looking out for flammable hazards during hot work and how to operate and use basic equipment such as a fire extinguisher among other tools.
