This course will give you an in-depth understanding of the duties of a Fire and Emergency Warden. As well as the practical skills to effectively evacuate the workplace in event of a fire or emergency. Also included is fire extinguisher knowledge and familiarization.
In the event of a building evacuation as a result of a fire, the role of Fire Warden is crucial to the safety of all building occupants. During an evacuation, the Building or Chief Warden represents the New Zealand Fire Service until their arrival and therefore has authority over occupants.
Make sure your staff know how to use a fire extinguisher, which one to use and even have a go at putting out a small (controlled) fire! Our training session takes about 1-1.5hrs, depending on how many are training, and takes place on your premises.
Education and training for staff including how to respond to fire and emergency, fire warden training and fire alarm systems.
This includes theory and practical training session with provided fire extinguishers and electronic certification valid for two years. This course complies with legislation for Health and safety in the Workplace (Worksafe 2015).
