This program is approximately 3 hours and was designed to give students an introduction to fire hazard awareness and to provide an introduction to fire extinguishment with handheld fire extinguishers.
Topics covered include fire components, hare hazards, basics of fire planning, fire class identification, fire extinguisher identification, use, and more. (the extinguisher course adds the use of a handheld extinguisher to extinguish a small fire using a fire simulator).
Students will receive a wallet certificate verifying completion upon successful completion of a written exam. Full participation is mandatory.
Victory Safety and Training was opened in June, 2008 in Saskatoon Sk. by Dale Ledoux. Dale is a graduate of the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies having completed the combined fire fighter / primary care paramedic program.
His original certification included level 2 fire fighter, primary care paramedic, confined space / technical rope rescue technician, hazardous materials operations, fire services instructor.
