Through hands-on training with fire simulations in a safe learning environment, our professional instructors will educate your staff on the basics of fire extinguisher locations, common fire hazards, proper procedures, safe evacuation routes, and more.
This program emphasizes learning the basic knowledge and skills necessary to become a functioning member of a fire department. While at the Firefighter I and II Academy, the student's daily routine incorporates a fire department atmosphere into the training.Â
Protection From Fire training is offered by Portland State University. Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) supports the PSU community by providing a safe and healthy University environment.
The course provides an overview of the dangers associated with fires and other emergencies that can occur in the work place. Participants will understand the benefits of having and following an emergency action plan, be able to identify hazards that create the need to evacuate or find shelter.
Upon completing the course for acute care hospital you will be issued a BLUE card (valid for 4 years). Course is approximately 4 hours. E-Cards emailed out same day after completion of class.
