Using the wrong extinguisher could spread the fire, not put it out. This program explains basic fire safety, the different classes of fires and which extinguishers to use for each. As well as, when to fight a fire, how to use the P.A.S.S. method and when not to attempt to extinguish a fire in your work area.

Fire Extinguisher Use training is offered by Premier Workforce Training. Our training solutions are designed to address your business goals by improving customer service, employee safety, teamwork, leadership, business operations and instituting best practices.Â
The training begins with a 15-minute DVD which explains fire prevention, evacuation, the classes of fires, and the basic operation of a fire extinguisher. After the presentation, we review the types of fire extinguishers on site and the organization’s policy and procedures.Â
We teach Wildland Fire, crosscut and chainsaw classes. We have Oregon DPSST (Department of Public Safety Standards and Training) certified instructors. S-130/190 & L-180 S-212 Wildland Fire Chainsaws.
This program emphasizes learning the basic knowledge and skills necessary to become a functioning member of a fire department. While at the Firefighter I and II Academy, the student's daily routine incorporates a fire department atmosphere into the training.Â
