There is a hands-on component with the equipment as well as a deep dive into the inspection and maintenance of extinguishers.
In 1947, Bob Keane started Keane Fire & Safety in the basement of his home. Bob, pictured on the right, was a pioneer in fire prevention, and a former Boston firefighter and Fire Marshal at the Watertown Arsenal.
He wanted to make sure neighborhood businesses could afford essential fire safety protection and built the business on that principle. After Bob passed his wife Betty took over the business.
