A learner credited with this standard will be capable of identifying, containing, preventing, and extinguishing different types of fires by operating basic fire fighting equipment.
Basic Fire Fighting (F1) is a course – designed to equip learners with the knowledge and necessary skills to manage and extinguish a fire in the home or office environment, using a variety of skills and various firefighting equipment covered during the course.
Basic Fire training is offered by Poltech (Pty) Ltd. Poltech consists of a highly experienced and well-qualified team of experts working in the fields of occupational health, environmental management and related analytical chemistry.
Fire Fighting training is offered by MCD Training Centre. We have a responsibility to provide expertise and opportunity to educate and develop our learners in a practical and viable way. That our training methods and processes are fair, valid, reliable and transparent.
Qualifying learners can select and use the appropriate fire-fighting equipment to extinguish or control fires in the workplace. On successful completion, candidates can lead a fire-team.
