Fire Watch/Standby training is offered by RiskCom S.A. (Pty) Ltd. This training skill is designed for people who perform fire lookout duties.
Any applicant who successfully completes this course will satisfy: The Advanced Fire Fighting standards of competence required by 46 CFR 11.20(h) and 11.303(b) provided the mariner has one year of sea service within the last five years.
After the learning process a students is awarded a nqf certificate and becomes qualified firefighter earning an average salary of R98 per hour. Skills are attained at the fire fighting training centre at minimal fees.
