In terms of the Companies Act, 2008, Wheelset Academy of Machine Operators is a registered private company with the Commissioner of Companies & Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) with registration number 2020/169496/07. It was founded by Mr. Henry Wandera and Mr. Gilbert Javier Mugombesha.
Wheelset Academy is also an accredited training centre (Skills Development Provider) in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85, 1993, Driven Machinery Regulation 18 (2015), Sub Reg.11, and Department of Labour (DoL). Fire Fighting training is offered by SafeSkill. SafeSkill (Pty) Ltd. is a SETA & (QCTO) Quality of trades & Occupations fully accredited training Institute. SafeSkill is also registered with the Department of Labour (DOL) and the Department of Higher Education.
The basic fire fighting course is a short but comprehensive course aimed at up skilling delegates with good basic fire fighting theoretical knowledge content such as fire prevention principles, the different classes of fire, as well as how to practically handle a fire fighting extinguisher.
Fire Fighting training is offered by Chithi Training Institution. Chithi Training Institution presents various skills programs and formal qualifications that sets it apart from other training companies in South Africa.
After the learning process a students is awarded a nqf certificate and becomes qualified firefighter earning an average salary of R98 per hour. Skills are attained at the fire fighting training centre at minimal fees.
At the conclusion of this course you the Fire Fighter should be able to have sufficient knowledge to assess a situation, remaining as calm as possible, identifying possible dangers and priorities and provide immediate and appropriate action for the situation.
