This course entails identification, explanation and demonstration of the standard safety procedures during active wildfire suppression at a basic level.
A learner credited with this standard will be capable of identifying, containing, preventing, and extinguishing different types of fires by operating basic fire fighting equipment.
Teaching awareness for fire safety, prevention of fires and the alerting of emergency services. Candidates will also learn how to contain a fire soon after ignition by using equipment at hand. This course will not enable the learners to fight serious out of control fires.
