The medium of instruction for all the training programmes are in English. However, training programmes for workers can be conducted in either English or Hindi. The methodology used consist of Lectures, Group Discussions and Case Studies with extensive use of PowerPoint Presentation materials, Video Films, etc.
Safety and Health Information Bureau (SHIB) was conceived as a resource facility offering an integrated professional service to various occupancies in dealing with the problems relating to safety, health, environment and fire safety.
SHIB was established in 1989, in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. Though,SHIB was established in Navi Mumbai, recently its office has been relocated to its own building at Alleppey, Kerala, with a view to widen its activities.
SHIB helps the organisations to develop their vision for the future and determine strategies to achieve better working conditions and environment and thereby increase the overall production and quality of working life.
