All participants will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in extinguishing live (controlled) fires using Water, AFFF, Dry Powder and Carbon Dioxide Extinguishers, as well as Fire Blankets. All participants will receive a certificate and practical fire safety information, hints and tips.
Our trainers will bring with them all the equipment needed to deliver the training – all we ask of you is that you provide a room (with power points) which will comfortably seat upto 20 people and an area outside for the practical (an area of a car park is ideal).
Petans Instructors and fire staff are drawn from qualified and experienced firefighters, all with first-hand knowledge of emergency situations. The training is conducted with known and available technologies in a controlled environment, so all delegates gain the most they can from their training.
Training is delivered within realistic firefighting to simulate known emergency situations. Not only can this be applied to offshore oil and gas but is also used by Onshore energy and chemical businesses, marine and maritime companies.
Training is to OPITO standards for the offshore sector or to STCW95 standards for maritime advanced and basic programmes. Additionally we are able provide bespoke training to many industries and specialist work for numerous county Fire and Rescue services.
