Aims of the Course:
The aims of this Fire Safety Awareness Scotland training course is to provide the delegates with knowledge and understanding of how to control the spread of fires.
This course has also been designed to provide Delegates with knowledge of how to identify Fire Fighting Equipment available and when to and not to use Fire Fighting Equipment. The course also covers escape routes, fire doors, emergency lighting & the fire log-book. In relation to the fire Scotland Act 2005.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
Understand the components required to create and sustain FIRE. (Fire Triangle).
Understand how to prevent FIRE.
Identify available types of Fire Extinguishers and their uses and limitations.
Be able to select the correct Extinguisher to scenario given.
Storage and limitation of combustible materials, carry out daily/weekly fire safety checks as per fire log-book.
