Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act states that all employers have several duties and responsibilities when it comes to health and safety training in the workplace. An employer must do everything within reason to protect their workers in every situation.
They must also instruct workers on how to stay safe in the workplace, and ensure all required workers and supervisors have the appropriate training. Some of the training programs we provide include:
Fire Prevention and Public Education training is offered bySaskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT). Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nations-governed educational institution, one of only four credit-granting post-secondary institutions in the province
Fire Safety teaches participants about the legislated fire safety responsibilities of the employer and the worker, describes safe work practices related to fire prevention, and provides practical information about emergency response in situations involving fire.
Anyone with responsibility in the Fire Safety Plan requires fire extinguisher training. However, a fire can happen at any time, so everyone should know how to select and use a portable fire extinguisher.
Your training needs are our priority. Courses can be tailored and delivered at your facility when you need them, in a cost effective and timely manner.Â
This training equips participants to identify and assess hazards that can give rise to fires. The Fire Watch training program is designed to provide participants with knowledge and information necessary to perform fire watch duties.
