This Fire Safety & Extinguishers Course will guide you through all aspects of Fire Safety & Extinguishers including hazard identification, fire facts, prevention, protection, preparation, extinguisher types & use, and emergency response.
Upon completion of this course, learners will be better prepared to prevent fires, and respond appropriately in case of a fire. Students will also be trained on what to do proactively to eliminate fire hazards in the workplace and how to extinguish fires or react in case of an emergency. Upon completion of the final exam, students will be issued a printable certificate as proof of training. A plastic wallet card may also be ordered.

How to protect yourself and your workplace or property from fires
How to prepare for a fire
How to identify the correct means of extinguishing a fire

Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act states that all employers have several duties and responsibilities when it comes to health and safety training in the workplace. An employer must do everything within reason to protect their workers in every situation.

Basic Fire Fighting Skills Courses are offered by Manitoba's Emergency Services College.
This course meets requirements of Standard 1031 of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Learners will develop the knowledge and skills to conduct thorough fire inspections and determine whether the risk of fire in buildings is minimized, or if, in the event of a fire
Fire extinguishers are designed to put out or control small fires. A small fire, if not checked immediately, will soon spread out of control. Fires start small and may be extinguished by well-trained, knowledgeable employees using the proper equipment.
Fire Safety program is based on the Ontario Fire Code and provides the knowledge necessary to prevent fires in the workplace.
