RRC’s Fire Safety for Fire Marshals / Fire Wardens Short Course provides Learners with sufficient knowledge and information to discharge their responsibilities as fire marshals / fire wardens.

• The nature of fire
• Heat transfer and the spread of fire and smoke in buildings
• An overview of fire risk assessment
• Identifying fire hazards in the workplace
• Basic fire prevention strategies
• Identifying and maintaining appropriate workplace fire precautions
• Identifying appropriate fire fighting equipment
• Emergency evacuation procedures - Human behaviour in an emergency; appropriate method of evacuation; evacuating members of the public and visitors; arrangements for people with mobility difficulties or sensory impairment
