Fire Safety For Fire Marshals (QNUK Level 2 Award - RQF)

This qualification is intended for those that are undertaking the role of a fire marshal in a workplace. The qualification builds on the QNUK Level 1 Award in Fire Awareness at Work (RQF) and includes safe evacuation and personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPS).

Pre-Requisites: This qualification is available to those over 14 years, however employers should ensure that fire marshals are suitable to undertake the role of a fire marshal.

Candidates should be at least a level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent.

This course has been developed to provide an introduction to the basics of fire awareness in the workplace. The course covers:

• Fire awareness
• Fire controls
• Understand how to use the fire extinguishers
• Actions in the event of fire
• Personal emergency evacuation plans
• The role of the fire marshal
• Communicating with the emergency services

The delivery will be tailored to the needs of the employer; this may include undertaking a fire evacuation. Additional time may be required.
