Fire Safety In The Workplace

This fire safety training provides instruction to those candidates nominated by the fire warden in general fire safety in the workplace, and training in the practical use of fire extinguishers.

On completion of the Fire Safety in the Workplace Course the candidate will:

• Determine a fire evacuation plan in emergency situations
• Cogitate a fire escape plan in a fire emergency
• Be aware of workplace fire safety
• Be aware of fire safety duties under the law
• Be able to raise an alarm in the event of fire
• Identify and be able to use a range of portable fire extinguishers
• Be aware of the procedures to follow on hearing a fire alarm
• Be aware of the procedures to follow on discovering a fire
• Be aware of how to prevent fire or limit its impact.
