Fire Safety Training

Ensuring your staff are trained in fire safety is a requirement as set out under the Fire Safety Order 2005. This should be a priority in order to protect lives, property and business.

We run monthly half day fire warden training courses at our own training facility or a package can be tailored and delivered on your own business premises.  Our instructor has a wealth of knowledge and is a retired fire brigade Watch Commander with over 30 years experience. 

The course also includes a live fire demonstration and instruction on how to operate a fire extinguisher. Delegates attending the course can expect the following topics to be discussed during the course:

•  Fire Regulations and Legislation
• Chemistry of fire and how it spreads
• Common causes of fire
• Action to take on discovering a fire
• Classes of fire and extinguisher types
• Hazard spotting and reduction
• Fire notices ie relevant signage
• Daily and weekly fire checks
• Record keeping

 Where possible your delegates will also receive a hands on demonstration which will cover the correct usage of a fire extinguisher on a live fire. All delegates who are in attendance will be sent a completion certificate after the course.
